Description
A soft silicone ruler for measuring your nipple tip in millimetres, the first step to finding your breast pump flange size. Most pumps come with a 24 mm flange, and many mums need a different size.
How to measure
- Measure before pumping. You can gently stimulate the nipple first so it's upright.
- Measure the widest part of the nipple tip only, not the areola.
- Measure both sides, as they can be different.
Your measurement is a starting point. The right fit is the one that feels comfortable and gives good milk sprays while you pump. If your flange turns out too big, silicone flange inserts let you try a smaller size without buying a new kit.
