Panadol Paracetamol Suspension For Baby & Infant contains 120 mg paracetamol in each 5ml of the suspension and provides effective temporary relief from pain and fever in infants and babies from 2months onwards. Paracetamol is a mild analgesic and antipyretic, recommended for the treatment of most painful and febrile conditions. When it comes to pain relief for babies, nothing works faster than paracetamol (the active ingredient in Panadol suspension) to relieve pain and reduce fever, getting to work in just 15 minutes. Paracetamol reduces fever in children for up to four hours, and also helps to provide fast, effective relief from pain caused by teething, immunization, earache, headache, cold and flu symptoms. Panadol suspension comes as an easy-to-administer liquid (similar to a cough syrup) that’s gentle on little stomachs. Panadol Baby & Infant Suspension is strawberry flavoured formulated to be pleasant tasting and comes with a dosing device so its easy to administer to infants and children and like all Children’s Panadol products it is gentle on little stomachs when used as directed. How to Use
- The right dose to give your baby will depend on their age and/or weight. Use the simple chart provided with the pack to match your child's weight (or their age if you don’t know their weight) to the correct dosage for that group.
- Shake the bottle. Measure the required amount in syringe or dropper (see diagram below). Either drop directly onto the child’s tongue, or mix with a little juice or water first.
- NOTE: Do not give to your child more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not give to your child more than four doses in any 24 hour period. Do not give to your child for longer than 3 days without asking a doctor.
- IMPORTANT: This product contains paracetamol; do not take it with other medicines that also contain paracetamol. Paracetamol is contained in many medicines to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, and sleep medicines. If you have liver or kidney disease, talk to your doctor before taking paracetamol. Do not take more than the recommended dose, as this may be harmful, including serious harm to your liver.
